이 글의 목적은 인간중심주의나 탈인간중심주의 세계관을 벗어나기 위해 공존성 패러다임으로 전환해야 한다고 제안하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 근대 이성주의 철학에 대한 회귀적 성찰을 한 후, 근대의 인간중심주의나 이성적 인간을 비판하는 탈인간중심주의로서의 환경윤리학과 생태주의를 탐색한다. 끝으로 인간중심주의와 생태주의를 지양하며 다양한 생태적 인간을 추구하는 생태철학의 모델로 환경실용주의 혹은 생태민주주의를 제안하고 그 가능성을 모색한다.
The purpose of this study is to suggest that we should shift to a coexistence paradigm in order to escape from the worldview of either anthropocentrism or post-anthropocentrism. To this end, this researcher speculates on the philosophy of rationalism retrospectively and explores environmental ethics and ecology as post-anthropocentrism that criticizes modern anthropocentrism or rational humans. Lastly, this study proposes environmental pragmatism or ecological democracy as a model of ecological philosophy that sublates anthropocentrism and ecology and pursues various ecological humans and explores its potential.
