이 논문은 공동체 현상학 연구를 위한 초석을 다지는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이러한 목적에서 후설의 상호주체성 이론을 비판적으로 검토하고 새로운 토대에서 상호주체성 문제를 재정립해야 한다는 앙리의 주장이 어떻게 그 정당성을 확보하는지를 살펴보겠다. 앙리에게 이 새로운 토대란 바로 절대적 삶이다. 상호주체성의 가능성은 지향성이 아니라 이 지향성 자체를 가능하게 한 절대적 삶에 있다. 이 절대적 삶에서 가능성과 실재성을 끌어오는 상호주체성은 더는 ‘모나드공동체’가 아니라 ‘파토스공동체’인 것으로 밝혀진다. 어떻게 상호주체성이 ‘모나드공동체’가 아닌 ‘파토스공동체’로 규정되는지, 이 같은 규정이 갖는 의미가 무엇인지 이 논문에서 밝혀 보이겠다.
This paper aims to lay the groundwork for the study of Phenomenology of Community. To this end, it will will critically review Husserl’s theory of intersubjectivity and then examine how Henry’s claim that the issue of intersubjectivity must be reestablished on a new foundation is justified. For Henry, this new foundation is the absolute life. The possibility of intersubjectivity lies not in intentionality but in the absolute life hat makes this intentionality itself possible. Intersubjectivity, drawing possibility and reality from this absolute life, is revealed to be not a ‘monadic community’ but a ‘pathetic community’. This paper will elucidate how intersubjectivity is defined as a ‘pathetic community’ rather than a ‘monadic community’, and the significance of this definition.
